Daniel Earnshaw, Director

Daniel is in charge of the retail sector of the company. A marketing graduate with 20 years experience in the Fencing sector he has helped drive the Fencing Centres to their unique market position. As part of his role he oversees all the Fencing Centre’s, the trade sales, deliveries, purchases, product lines, marketing and the hardwood production facilities. Family man and confirmed ‘petrol head’, Daniel is proud of his classic mini and tractor collection.

Peter Earnshaw, Director

Peter is in charge of production at Midgley along with the Company’s woodland and forestry work. A graduate in Forestry from Bangor University, he has worked for the company since 1980. A keen countryman, Peter combines his working love of trees and forests with his hobbies of shooting and fishing. An ardent environmentalist, he ensures all our forests and working practices are ‘green’ and is helping implement the companies FSC certification for the sawmills.

John Earnshaw, Finance Director, Company Secretary

John is in charge of the administration and smooth running of the company, overseeing the company’s finances, IT, health and safety and main office functions. After graduating from Nottingham University with a BSc in Mathematics with Computing John spent 10 years in the IT industry before joining the Company. Since then he has used his skills to enhance and streamline the company's IT and finance systems, most recently implementing a system to efficiently meet our FSC certification needs. He continues to study, and has gained the IOD Diploma in Company Direction, NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, and is currently studying for an MSc in Computing for Commerce and Industry with the Open University.

Alan Norton, Fencing Contracts Director, Wentworth Sawmill

Alan helps run Earnshaws sister company and is in charge of the companies fence fixing operation. Please direct domestic fencing enquiries to your relevant Fencing Centre, for larger commercial jobs please contact Alan directly.

Shaun Lindsay, Centre Manager, Midgley Fencing Centre

Along with Mark, Shaun manages the Midgley Fencing Centre. He has worked at the Fencing Centre for the past 20 years and has a deep knowledge of the fencing market. Shaun can quote on any fencing enquiry and is also involved with much of the purchasing for the Centre, so please email him with any specific requirements.

Neil Hargill, Retail Manager

A new addition to Earnshaws, Neil comes from a retail background managing mutishop outlets at the highest level. Neil will aim to make the shopping experience at Earnshaws even better and ensure a fault free visit every time which ever branch you choose.

Phil Swift, Centre Manager, Wentworth Fencing Centre

Phil manages the Fencing Centre at Wentworth. He has spent all his working life in the timber industry and can quote on all types of timber for building projects, as well as the stock fencing materials.

Jim Scott, Centre Manager, Brigg Fencing Centre

Jim manages the Fencing Centre and sawmill at Brigg. He has worked as a manager for the company for the past 23 years and has a deep knowledge of the fencing market. Jim can quote on any fencing enquiry in the Brigg area.

Mick Mountain, Head of Trade Sales

Mick covers part of the sawn timber purchasing for the company. He has worked in a variety of roles for the company over the past 25 years and is therefore ideally placed to quote on any bespoke or larger enquiries. Mick covers all the ordering for the hardwood sawmill at Brigg, so contact him with any hardwood beam or restoration timber requirements.

Tony Race

Tony has worked in the sales department for the past two years alongside Michael. Tony originally worked in the metal cutting industry before a career in the water industry for over 18 years. He has a strong knowledge of tender documents and civil works and is the ideal man to produce bills of quantities for larger jobs. Tony's role is to process the larger retail enquiries, be a point of contact for the smaller traders and order any non standard materials.

Darren Hinchliffe, Logistics

Darren runs the despatch department at Midgley and oversees deliveries from the other centres.

Richard Wardman, Goods Inward

Richard has worked for the Fencing centre for the past 12 years and controls the inward deliveries and oversees the loading area when not serving in the shop. His main aim is to ensure that shelves are fully stocked and orders picked, not an easy task with over a thousand stock lines! Jeff Cunningham, Treatment Department

Jeff has over 10 years of treatment experience and controls our two 30' treatment tanks, which pressure treat our sawmills production. To book in an external treatment job or to check the progress of a ‘treatment only' order, please email Jeff.

Midgley general shop staff

A prized team, the Midgley shop is staffed by people keen and ready to help. Many have years of experience selling fencing and are waiting to deal with your enquiry.

Wentworth general shop staff

The Wentworth shop is staffed by people with years of experience selling fencing. Most have experience in both sawmilling and fence fixing so they ensure you choose the right materials for your project.
