Whether you’re looking for a few nets of kiln-dried logs or a larger delivery of air-dried firewood, our team can advise you on the options available.
If you’re looking for ready-to-burn firewood, our kiln-dried hardwood logs are a popular choice.
Earnshaws’ kiln-dried hardwood logs have the lowest moisture content of our firewood range and are designed to burn readily on suitable appliances. The moisture content can be as low as 16%.
We also handpick the best oak logs for a high-quality, long-burning log, suitable for open fires, stoves and pizza ovens.
For customers who want the convenience of low-moisture, ready-to-burn hardwood logs, kiln-dried firewood provides a premium option without the need to wait for naturally seasoned logs to dry.
As well as kiln-dried hardwood logs, the Midgley centre stocks partially seasoned, air-dried hardwood and softwood firewood.
These logs are available for delivery or collection in loose loads of 2m³ or more, making them an option for customers who use larger quantities of firewood and have appropriate storage space.
A bulk delivery can be a practical way to build up a supply of firewood for regular use throughout the colder months.
Air-dried firewood should be stored correctly and, depending on its moisture content when supplied, may need additional drying before burning.
Earnshaws offers a comprehensive range of firewood from the Midgley centre, including:
A well-stocked log store means you can enjoy the warmth and atmosphere of a real fire throughout the colder months.

Kiln-dried hardwood logs are particularly convenient where you want a low-moisture, ready-to-burn fuel. Air-dried logs can provide a more economical option where customers have suitable storage and can allow the timber to dry further if necessary.

The amount of firewood you need depends on how often you use your stove or fire, the size and efficiency of your appliance and whether firewood is your main source of heating or used occasionally.
For occasional fires, a smaller supply of kiln-dried logs may be suitable. If you regularly burn firewood, a bulk delivery of air-dried logs can provide a larger supply, provided you have suitable storage.
