We collect your personal data when you request a quote, submit an order, request a delivery or sign up our loyalty scheme in one of our stores; specifically:

We also collect your personal data when you browse our website, complete a survey on our website and/or when you submit an online enquiry; specifically:
- Personal details such as first name, last name, company name (if applicable), address, telephone number and additionally your email address
- Details of your visits to our website such as your IP Address, operating system, browser type, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data
If you visit one of our stores, you should be aware that We use CCTV in our stores for the prevention and detection of crime and for safety and security reasons.
How We use your personal data and legal basis
We may process your personal data to fulfil a contract you made with Us when you requested a quote, an order, requested a delivery or purchased your loyalty card. This includes providing you the prices and any information you requested for some of our products, fulfilling the order you made and delivering the goods you purchased.

We may, with your consent, process your personal data when you request the fence fixing service from Us, at which point We will pass on your details to the contractor and We will keep your details so that We can contact you to make sure you are satisfied with the job, and so that We can assign the same contractor to you should you request the fence fixing service from Us in the future. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and you can do this by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by talking to one of our friendly staff in one our branches.
We may, with your consent, process details of your visit to our website in order to enable you to enable you to log into secure areas of our website, to store your enquiry list, to ensure that the content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer, to store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customise our site according to your individual interests, to speed up your searches and to recognize you when you return to our website. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and you can control what information we collect about you when browsing our website by going to our Cookies page and using the on/off toggles to turn off undesired cookies.
We may monitor and review CCTV footage to prevent, investigate and/or report fraud, terrorism, misrepresentation, security incidents or crime, including where We are required to do so by law.
If you’re a member of our loyalty scheme, or if you browse our website, We share your personal data with Blacksmith Marketing Consultancy who send the marketing emails on our behalf, provide the loyalty scheme platform and the loyalty cards, as well as monitor and analyse the website traffic data.
We also share your personal data with our fencing contractors when you request a fence fixing service, and We provide you with their details at the time of receiving the enquiry to enable contact between you and the contractor.
If our business is merged with another business or sold, your details would be shared with our advisers and any prospective purchaser’s advisers. Your information will be passed to the new owners and you will be notified.
The personal data may be shared with government authorities and law enforcement officials for the prevention or detection of crime, if required by law or if required for a legal or contractual claim.
We have Data Protection Agreements in place with all third parties We share your data with, which means that while they have to comply with the GDPR, they are additionally obliged to safeguard any data We share with them.
We process your personal data to fulfil our contractual obligations with regards to your quote, order or delivery for 6 years.
We process your personal data with regards to the fence fixing service for 10 years.
We also process your personal data to fulfil our contractual obligations with regards to the loyalty scheme membership whilst you are a member of our loyalty scheme.
We process the details of your visit to our website for up to 2 years; however, third party cookies may last longer and the expiry date of each cookie varies, so for more details about each of them, please go to our Cookies page.
If you unsubscribe from marketing communications, We will keep a record of this request to make sure We don’t send you any marketing again in the future.
We store CCTV footage securely encrypted for up to 2 months (60 days). After that it is overwritten.

- Request your personal data to be erased
