Welcome to Midgley’s Fairy Village!

Our fairies have some enchanting new homes, thanks to local teamwork!

Earlier this summer, we put out a call for help – our growing community of fairies at Midgley needed some new homes. Thanks to an incredible local effort, they now have an entire village!

We’d like to thank the members of the Denby Dale District Men’s Shed Association and Denby Dale She Shed who joined forces with the children of Cawthorne Church of England Primary School to bring this magical project to life.

It was lovely to meet some of the children who had created their own fairy homes – they were excited to show them off!

The Men’s Shed and She Shed groups are a fantastic way to meet new people, learn new skills, and get involved in the local community. We are proud to support their amazing work.

When you visit our Midgley Centre, please respect the hard work put into the village and enjoy it with your eyes only – the fairies don’t like to be disturbed!
