Wentworth Fencing Centre Shed Display

Now in its 9th year, National Shed Week (1-8 July) celebrates Britain’s unique shed creations, and their extraordinary owners.

The highlight of July will be the ‘Shed of the Year’ competition, which received a record-breaking 2520 entries this year!

The competition is the brainchild of shed-fanatic Andrew Wilcox, who will be travelling the length and breadth of Britain to look at all sorts of ‘wacky and wonderful’ shed creations, alongside Channel 4’s George Clarke and his team of architects and designers.

This year’s competition is divided into eight categories, including eco sheds, unique sheds and pub sheds. The top 4 entries in each category will be shown on the hit TV series ‘Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year’ on Sunday nights at 8pm – Channel 4.

The first episode featured a miniature railway shed and a makeshift observatory – complete with a retractable roof and an advanced telescope! If you missed last Sunday’s episode, you can catch up by clicking here .

Whether you are looking to start a new summer project, or you just need some inspiration for a garden shed transformation, take a look around our centres at Midgley, Brigg and Wentworth, where you will find a wide range of sheds and outdoor buildings on display.
